Best of the North West on display in the Grosvenor Centre

Art lovers from across Macclesfield are invited to the Grosvenor Centre, as an exhibition showcasing four of the best female artists in the North West is on display in the Macc Art Lounge.

The ‘This Woman’s Work’ exhibit features pieces from award-winning Sandra Orme, BBC’s Countryfile-featured Ingrid Katarina KarlssonBest of the North West on display in the Grosvenor Centre, ceramic artist Ché Finch and landscape photographer Natasha Braithwaite and will be on show until 4pm on Saturday 4th March.

Grosvenor Centre Manager, Ed Kennedy, said he was delighted that the exhibit was in the centre. “We really believe in being able to support a range of groups across the Macclesfield community which is one of the many reasons we’ve partnered with Macc Art Lounge,” said Ed.

“They have so many fantastic artists, displaying and creating new pieces of work and the newest display ‘This Woman’s Work’ really showcases a great range of work from four fantastic female artists. It’s great to have some of the best artistic talent in the region in the centre.”

John Eastwood Macc Art Lounge Manager, commented: “The Grosvenor Centre is rapidly establishing itself as a leading venue for creativity and the arts in Macclesfield, bringing an inspirational experience to visitors. Macc Art Lounge is delighted to host this exhibition by four leading women artists and to further develop this important creative initiative.”

Run by the Leeds-based East Street Arts, the Macc Art Lounge is an artist-led initiative that organises pop-up exhibitions and promotes and supports professional artists across the North West. Currently based in the Grosvenor Centre, the Macc Art Lounge is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday 11.00am to 4pm and the last Sunday in every month to coincide with Macclesfield Treacle Market.
