NorthWestWorks4U offers 8,000 jobs

Around 8,000 job vacancies will be made available to attendees at the first-ever NorthWestWorks4U digital jobs fair, thought to be one of the first of its kind in the country.

Macclesfield’s MP, David Rutley, is giving his active support to this vital event, along with key sponsors, McCann Health and TalkTalk, and many other private and public sector employers.
The virtual jobs fair takes place over three days, from Tuesday 6th to Thursday 8th April, and will showcase all of these jobs while the event is broadcast from the Jobs Live platform. This enables live interaction between job seekers and prospective employers, as well as providing engaging content for the anticipated audience of 20,000 job seekers from across the North West.

Macclesfield MP, David Rutley, recently met with Charlie Buckwell, Global President of McCann Health Medical Communications, which has offices in Macclesfield, to review progress with plans for the event. Mr Buckwell confirmed that over 80 organisations are taking part. In addition to the key sponsors, employers such as Network Rail, many NHS bodies, North West Ambulance Service, Kier and Greggs are all taking part and looking forward to explaining more about the job opportunities that they have to offer.

NorthWestWorks4U is a unique partnership between DWP, Jobcentre Plus North West, North West Local Enterprise Partnerships and the region’s major private sector employers. Other employers who would like to participate can contact: dwpnorthwest.works4u@dwp.gov.uk . It is free for both jobseekers and prospective employers to take part in the jobs fair. David has been actively supporting CheshireWorks4U virtual jobs fairs since they were first established in July last year. He believes that the events have played an invaluable and innovative role in the employment market during the pandemic, and that they have enabled job seekers to keep in touch with employment options at a time when traditional face to face meetings have not been possible. David is delighted to see how these jobs fairs have helped inspire the first NorthWestWorks4U event.
