Macclesfield Lit & Phil

The next meeting of Macclesfield Lit & Phil will be held this evening, 17th January, 
in Macclesfield Library, starting at 7.30 pm .

Jo Willet talks about the subject of her first book: Mary Wortley Montagu: 
Scientist and Feminist. Apart from her writing, Mary is known for introducing 
smallpox inoculation to Britain. Jo Willet is an award-winning TV drama and 
comedy producer. Her credits range from “Manhunt: The Nightstalker” to “Birds 
of a Feather”.

The talk will be followed by a brief continuation of the AGM postponed from 
the November meeting. This will complete the presentation of the accounts, 
consider a few changes to the constitution of the society, and fix the 
subscription rates for the next season.
