Teen charged following Macclesfield assault

Following a serious assault on Masons Lane, Macclesfield Cheshire police have charged a teenager.

The charges relate to a serious assault on a 41-year-old woman at a property on Masons Lane, Macclesfield at around 4.15 pm on Sunday 12 February.

A 16-year-old male, from Manchester, was arrested and subsequently charged with section 18 wounding with intent, possession of a knife in a public place and two counts of possession with intent of supply class A drugs (cocaine and heroin).

He will appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday 14 February).
