Criminal behaviour order for prolific offender

A prolific offender from Macclesfield has been ordered to adhere to a Criminal Behaviour Order for the next three years.

Charlotte Bradley, of no fixed address but of Macclesfield, was handed the order at Crewe Magistrates’ Court on Monday 24 April.

The CBO, which was applied for by Macclesfield South Beat Team, prohibits Bradley from entering Macclesfield town centre, Lyme Green Business Park and Tesco Superstore on Hibel Road, Macclesfield.

The 41-year-old is able to access HSBC bank via Castle Street but only for the purpose of accessing HSBC services and is able to access the job centre but only through entrance on Churchill Way.

Failure to adhere to the order could result in a fine or imprisonment.

Sergeant Matt Bassirat said: “Bradley is a prolific offender in the Macclesfield area and her behaviour brings misery to those who work and live here.

“These orders are just one of the ways we can use all policing tools available to us to better protect the community from those who causing alarm and distress.

“I hope that this order provides reassurance to those of Macclesfield and also assists in curbing Bradley’s criminal behaviour in the town.

“Bradley is under the order until 22 April 2025 and if she fails to comply, she could face a further five years imprisonment.”

Anyone who encounters Bradley breaching any of the above restrictions is urged to contact Cheshire Police at https://www.cheshire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/soh/seen-or-heard/ or call 101, to report it.
