Call to Macclesfield artists

With a mission to cultivate and showcase the artistic talent within Macclesfield, this year’s Barnaby Festival Community Art Trail will provide a platform for expression to all artists.

From photography to poetry, pottery to portraits the Trail will be bursting with creative submissions of all levels and we want you to be part of this unique gallery

We are looking for artists of all ages with diverse perspectives, new thinking and open exploration of our theme to help us create a vibrant and inclusive Barnaby Festival Community Art Trail.

We now invite you to submit your perspective on the theme “In A New Light” 

Artworks can be in the medium of your choice, painting, photography, poetry, mixed media, pottery & ceramics. Anything goes.

Art will be displayed over the weekend of Barnaby Festival throughout Macclesfield in shop fronts, shared spaces and local hubs. All works will need to be submitted in digital format. An online gallery will also be available to ensure we can showcase as many submissions as possible.

Please submit a scanned or high resolution (300 dpi) photograph of your artwork to visualart@barnabyfestival.org.uk. Please use SUBMISSION in the subject line of your message. 

Include the following: 

·         Brief description of your submission (max 150 words) 

·         Artist Name (and age for children) 

·         Any links you may wish to be included in a QR code or Art Trail catalogue. (website, social media page, community art group, education setting etc)
