As the saying goes “what a difference a day makes”!
Sunday torrential rain and today glorious autumn sunshine!
Twenty six members joined the short midweek walk today for this 5.9 mile walk from the National Trust Car Park, Alderley Edge.
We walked to Beacon Lodge before crossing the B5087 where we walked down through Windmill Woods.
From there we walked across the fields to rejoin the B5087 before turning left on to Woodbrook Road and back onto NT land.
We walked to the Wizard’s Well and Castle Rock where we stopped for coffee.
From there we walked to Stormy Point and on to Adders Moss Farm, Finlow Hill, Bradford lane and Artists Lane before returning through Windmill Woods back to Beacon Lodge and the National Trust carpark.
