Another two years with the Silkmen

Silkmen fans must have breathed a huge sigh of relief to hear the news.

Following his success in guiding Macclesfield FC to promotion, to the National League North, Robbie Savage has agreed a two-year deal to remain as manager.

Saint Robbie (as he’s now being called) doubles as a director of the Silkmen. The former Leicester, Blackburn and Birmingham midfielder joined his friend Robert Smethurst and helped relaunch the club after Macclesfield Town were wound up in 2020.
