Man charged with attempted burglary of Wayne Rooney’s home
Cheshire Police have charged a man in relation to the attempted burglary of Wayne Rooney.
Robert Leslie McNamara, 24, of Newby Farm Crescent, Scalby, Scarborough, was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary of Rooney’s home on Chelford Road, Prestbury on 3rd August.
Following questioning McNamara has been charged with attempted burglary of a dwelling with intent to steal; he has been remanded in police custody and is set to appear at South and East Cheshire Magistrates later today, Wednesday 10th August 2016.
