Giant XL wins by a mile

In the Macclesfield Town Council referendum, to select a new children’s attraction for the West Park, the Giant XL came top with over 1500 votes.

Mayor of Macclesfield, Tytherington Cllr Emma Gilman, expressed her pleasure that the winning design has really given the park the “showstopper” it deserves.

Due to the height of the equipment, planning permission will need to be sought, from Cheshire East Council, with a view to the project being constructed in early 2026.
