TEENAGER KILLED IN ROAD COLLISION

A teenager was killed when the car he was driving was involved in a collision with a lorry in Staffordshire.

Alexander Anderson, 17, of Torkington Road, Wilmslow, Cheshire, died on the A523 Macclesfield to Leek road at Rudyard near Leek on Wednesday.

He was driving a Volkswagen Golf which was involved in the collision with a Mercedes HGV near the junction with Green Lane at about 14:45 BST.

The lorry driver was not injured in the incident.
