Be careful out there
A word of warning to all.
I received an email message today – which, according to the header, appears to have come from myself.
Just so we’re clear, an email from myself to myself.
How the hell they do that I don’t know – but the scammers are getting increasingly clever.
You could be forgiven for thinking it’s an image file – as the ‘file’ name is IMG etc – but looking closely the file extension (the characters after the . ) tell me it’s actually a ‘zip’ file. e.g. IMG1234.zip
This means it will open up into something else when clicked on.
If you ever get anything like this – think twice before opening it.
Never, never open a zipped file if you don’t know who’s sent it. And especially if it comes from yourself!!!
