RACING DRIVER VISITS DANE VALLEY SCHOOL

A professional racing driver from Knutsford made a pit stop in Bollington to offer advice to a group of school-girls making their very own racing go-kart.

Oliver Webb, who races in the prestigious World Series by Renault Formula 3.5 Championship, took a day out from his training to visit Dean Valley Primary School to provide encouragement to the girls as they built a Green Power go-kart from a flat pack of tubes, complete with motor and battery.

The girls, aged eight and nine, are part of the Macclesfield College-led engineering project
