BROWN ST CLOSED OFF FOLLOWING HOUSE FIRE
Brown Street is closed at its junction with Park Lane owing to a house fire.
Fire services are in attendance but it appears that at least one of the cottages at that end of the street has been gutted and another severely damaged.
We understand that the fire started in the early hours after rubbish bags placed in the entry were set on fire.
A spokesman told us that no-one was injured.
