BANNED BUILDING BOSS GIVEN SUSPENDED JAIL SENTENCE

A local construction boss has been handed a suspended jail sentence for running a building business while banned from being in charge of a company.

Allan Christopher Roberts was sentenced by Manchester Crown Court to eight months imprisonment (suspended for two years) after pleading guilty to breaching a disqualification order.

Roberts was also ordered to do 200 hours of unpaid work and was disqualified from being a director of a limited company for seven years.

In June 2008 he was disqualified from acting in the management of a company for four years following the liquidation of Prestbury Construction and Development Limited.
