FRIESIANS FREED BY FIREMEN
Two cows are enjoying their freedom after being rescued from deep mud by firefighters.
The cattle had grazed their way to a pond in Gawsworth and become trapped in surrounding marshland, sinking deeper and deeper until they were stuck up to their necks.
The farmer, unable to release them from the mud, called the fire service.
A fire engine from Macclesfield was first on the scene, quickly followed by the service
