I do have to wonder what medication the Macclesfield Express` sub-editor is on. Or maybe they`ve never been to Macclesfield?

The headline in this week`s issue screams “We will help town`s traders say Tesco”. Oh really?

Possibly taking a leaf from the Daily Sport school of journalism, the item doesn`t exactly say why a double size Tesco and retail park will be good for Macclesfield traders.

It does say (Tesco`s p.r. department must have sweated blood over this) that there will be 100 new jobs created. Curiously, they claimed just a few weeks ago that there would be 300 new jobs on offer at the new superstore
