QUESTION OVER BROWN BAN FOR SILKMEN

Macclesfield are yet to learn whether defender Nat Brown will be available to face AFC Wimbledon in npower League Two.

Brown was sent off in the closing stages of the Saturday`s 1-0 defeat at Swindon, but the Silkmen have launched an appeal against his three-match ban.

Dwaine Mattis is in line to make his Macclesfield debut having not penned a six-month contract in time to be involved against the Robins.

Mattis provides a welcome midfield option for boss Gary Simpson, who is without the services of Ross Draper (broken metatarsal), Lewis Chalmers (hernia) and Sam Wedgbury (stomach).

Forward Ben Tomlinson and midfielder Scott Kay will be assessed closer to kick-off as they look to return from thigh problems, while Michael Bakare could secure a first Macclesfield start having made his debut from the bench at the County Ground.
