SILKMEN SIGN BEN FUTCHER FROM BURY

Macclesfield have signed Bury defender Ben Futcher on a three-month loan deal.
The 30-year-old has just completed a loan spell at Blue Square Bet Premier side Telford United.

Futcher signed a new deal at Gigg Lane at the start of the season but has not featured for the Shakers this year and has also been out on loan at Mansfield.

“Hopefully he`ll add a bit of experience and solidarity to us and help the young lads out,” manager Gary Simpson told BBC Radio Manchester.

The 6ft 7ins centre-back began his career at Oldham Athletic and has had spells at Stalybridge, Doncaster Rovers, Lincoln, Boston United, Grimsby and Peterborough.
