WITNESSES SOUGHT FOR ATTEMPTED ROBBERY IN WILMSLOW

Police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery of a teenager in Wilmslow.

At 11.45pm on Saturday 10 August 2013, a 16-year-old boy was walking through an alleyway known locally as “Black Path”, which leads from Colshaw Drive to Handforth Road.

A man approached him and punched and kicked him, before grabbing his bag and rifling through it. He didn′t take anything from the bag and dropped it on the floor before walking into Colshaw Farm Estate.

The man is described as 5′ 10″ tall and of slim build. He was wearing a black hooded top with two green stripes down the arms and dark tracksuit bottoms.

DC Sarah Newton said: “The victim received bruises and grazes as well as a bloodied nose, but didn′t need medical treatment.

“I would appeal to anyone with information to contact police with any information they may have in order to progress with our enquiries.”
