TWO MORE ARRESTED IN MURDER INVESTIGATION

Two more arrests over Macclesfield murder
Two more men have been arrested by officers investigating the murder of Zain Sailsman in Macclesfield.

A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and a 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both men are currently in police custody.

Police are still appealing to the public for help in tracing Zain′s movements in the final hours before his death.

The 19-year-old was found lying in the road in Bullocks Lane, Sutton, Macclesfield, with serious injuries on the evening of Wednesday 30 October 2013. He was taken by ambulance to hospital, where he died a short time later.

A post mortem concluded the cause of death was due to a single stab wound.

DI Steve Jones said: “My team and I are currently working on tracing Zain′s movements in the hours before his death and I am keen to hear from anyone who saw him between 4pm and 6.45pm on Wednesday 30 October.

“People can contact police direct on 101 or if you prefer you can pass information anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. We are also still appealing for anyone who saw suspicious activity in or near Bullocks Lane on 30 October to get in touch.”

Two people have charged with murder as part of the investigation; Ricky Jervis, 22, from Dale Crescent, Congleton and Charles Beadell, 22, of Buckfast Close have been remanded into custody.

Five other people have been arrested and bailed pending further inquiries; Two women aged 26 and 35, and a 23 year-old man were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, and two men, aged 21, from Liverpool and Congleton were arrested on suspicion of murder.
