A public exhibition has been launched on proposals for a new supermarket and up to 400 houses in Macclesfield.
A masterplan for the 155-acre site has been drawn up to unlock the potential of the South Macclesfield Development Area (SMDA).
The first phase would include a first section of link road connecting to Congleton Road as well as the supermarket and up to 400 properties.
With the continuation of the new link road, up to a further 600 houses and sports and leisure facilities are possible proposals for a second phase of the development.
Cheshire East Council`s cabinet backed plans to acquire the site earlier this year for the scheme which would be created by the council`s new delivery company
