Man charged with armed robbery of Poynton store
Police have charged a 51-year-old man following an investigation into an armed robbery in Poynton.
It was reported that the robbery took place at 7.31am on Sunday 14 April 2013, at Asda supermarket on Park lane. The offenders fled with a significant amount of cash.
Graham Chilton from Hazel Grove in Stockport has been charged with burglary, committing an act or series of acts with intent to pervert the course of public justice, theft by an employee and theft from a shop.
