Appeal for information following robbery

Police are appealing for information following a robbery in Macclesfield.The incident took place shortly after 11pm on Wednesday, July 30 in the area of St George′s Street and Chapel Street. The victim, a 20-year-old man, was approached by two men and was threatened by one of them with a knife. He was instructed to hand over his mobile phone, which he did.

The two men then made off towards the Moss Estate, taking the victim′s phone and also his headphones.

The first offender is described as white, around 5ft 10ins to 5ft 11ins tall, of medium to slim build and wearing black tracksuit bottoms, dark trainers and a dark coloured hoody with a balaclava scarf pulled up over his nose.

The second offender is 6ft tall, medium to slim build and also wearing dark tracksuit bottoms, a hooded top and a balaclava pulled over his face.
