Macclesfield Winterfest 2014

Headlining Macclesfield’s Winter festival are top TV comedian Russell Kane and veteran entertainer and host of Radio 4’s Just a Minute, Nicholas Parsons. Also featured are the North West’s premier Northern Soul band, The Screaming Beavers and the UK’s No 1 ABBA tribute, ABBA Revival!

If you prefer something more classical there is A Classical Christmas featuring singing sensation Helen England whilst musical theatre enthusiasts will love Encore by Candlelight, an evening of musical entertainment.

Films are represented by Cinevangelist who are screening a season of Philip Seymour Hoffman movies and for those that missed it the first time, there will be a special screening of the Bollington Movie with a Q & A with cast & crew.

There are six art exhibitions, five of which feature artwork by Down syndrome artists from the Heart and Sold project with Incubation Arts displaying a World War One exhibition in Charles Roe House.

For the kids there are special days out as Wacky Woods offer Christmas Scavenger Hunts every Sunday before Christmas deep in their woodland forest.
