Anglers to be hit by Cheshire East parking restrictions

Macclesfield’s anglers are concerned that new parking restrictions will impact heavily on their sport.

Owing to the demand from visitors Cheshire East are proposing to control parking from Langley village up to Trentabank Reservoir.

However, with just a few parking spaces available under the scheme it may prove impossible for anglers, particularly elderly ones, to fish Ridgegate Reservoir

A spokesperson for Macclesfield Flyfishers, who retain the fishing rights for Ridgegate, said club members were particularly disappointed that the Council hadn’t thought to consult them on the matter.
