Oh help! Oh no! It’s a gruffalo!

From 27 June – 31 August, Lyme Park will be exhibiting original artwork by Axel Scheffler, illustrator of‘The Gruffalo’, ‘The Gruffalo’s Child’‘Room on a Broom’ and many other children’s favourites. To celebrate, there will be Gruffalo themed activities for all the family to enjoy.

Families can go in search of their favourite characters on a ‘Gruffalo Trail’ around the garden. On Wednesdays, there will be storytelling and picnics on the lawn.

Axel Scheffler will be visiting Lyme Park on the opening day of the exhibition on 27 June. He will be signing books, giving live drawing demonstrations and maybe reading a story or two.

The exhibition, trail and activities will all take place in Lyme’s garden which will be open every day, 27 June – 31 August, 11am – 5pm (last entry 4.30pm). Garden entry ticket required.
