Appeal following aggravated burglary

Police are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in Macclesfield.

The incident happened at 4pm on Friday 31 July 2015 on Statham Street.

The victim answered his door to two unknown men who he allowed into his house. Once inside the offenders produced a meat cleaver and demanded money from the victim.

The men stole cash and other belonging from the victim. The victim was unharmed during the incident.

The first man is described as white, in his early to mid 20s, between 5’ 8” and 5’ 10” tall of fat/stocky build. He was wearing a dark coloured beanie hat, glasses, a khaki coloured anorak, brown trousers and red and white trainers. He spoke with a local accent.

The second man is aged in his early to mid 20s, between 5’ 10” and 5’ 11” tall of a very slim build. He was wearing a black beanie hat or cap, black jacket, black trousers and black trainers or shoes. He also spoke with a local accent.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 623 of 31 July. Alternatively, information can be left anonymously via CrimeStoppers.
