The work goes on at Bosley Wood Treatment

It’s been a month since the disastrous explosions at Bosley Wood Treatment but the emergency services and the Health and Safety Executive continue to work at the mill in Tunstall Road, Bosley.

Even after all this time Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service continue to work on site, cooling deep-seated fires burning inside the Wood Mill silos.

A detailed search of the site continues as part of the ongoing investigation. The primary objective remains the location and identification of the missing, in particular, Jason Shingler.

A police spokesman said: “The systematic search of the site and the investigation into the cause of the explosion at the mill will take many weeks to complete. During this time the crime scene will remain cordoned off to members of the public and the road that runs through the site will remain closed to allow the investigation to continue.”

“It is vital that the integrity of the scene is preserved to ensure a thorough investigation is carried out on behalf of all those affected.”
