Roachford and The Christians

The Christians, featuring brothers Garry and Russell Christian found instant success with their 1987 debut album The Christians, selling over a million copies. The duo is still regularly touring and making music – their latest album Speed of Life was released in 2012. Last year, The Christians appeared twice in Buxton, first at the Opera House along with Hue & Cry and Go West and then at the Arts Centre where they performed a standalone gig. For this show the brothers will play a 70 minute set with their full band.

Roachford formed in 1987 and had their first hit Cuddly Toy in 1989. With the soulful sound of founding member Andrew Roachford’s voice, the full band performance will recreate much loved hits such as Only To Be With YouThis GenerationLay Your Love On Me and The Way That I Feel– making up another 70 minute set.

The Christians and Roachford take place on Friday 25 September at Buxton Opera House. Tickets are priced at £29.50. To buy tickets or for more information call the Box Office on  01298 72190 or visit the Opera House website www.buxtonoperahouse.org.uk
