Help Tatton welcome Father Christmas

Tatton Park is inviting everyone to join them to welcome Father Christmas on the evening of Friday November 27 – when he’ll be arriving at the Cheshire estate to spend Christmas at Home Farm.

They’re encouraging as many people as possible to come and light his route with lanterns through the twighlight parkland……truly magical.

Father Christmas will proceeed along a lantern-lit walk to Tatton’s Stableyard where star guests, the farm’s reindeer Prancer and Dancer, will be waiting in anticipation. Children will also be able to post a Christmas wish-list and families can indulge in some Christmas shopping which this year includes a Christmas Gift Fair. The Stables restaurant and Gardener’s Cottage tea room will be open for festive food and drink.

There’s also the opportunity to ‘give a little back’ by donating any new toys to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital charity.

Father Christmas will be arriving just in the nick of time – for he starts four weekends at the farm the following day on Saturday, November 28. Visitors will be able to meet him and his elves in his grotto where he’ll have a sack full of presents with a gift for all children.

A trip to the farm this Christmas looks set to be a great festive day out for the family. All the farmyard animals are on show and some are the star attractions of the nativity scene. Visitors will be able to meet Prancer and Dancer and follow a festive reindeer trail looking for some fantastic willow weaved reindeer. Lots of other festive activities will be taking place including storytelling by Honor Giles, weaving winter magic with seasonal tales and Aunty Mary keeping warm in the cottage and waiting for Christmas callers to help make handmade decorations to take home. The day will be topped off with live festive music.
