If you like attending events at Buxton Opera House, now is the time to book your tickets. The theatre has announced it is celebrating the launch of its new season by offering customers the chance to win a ‘Switched On Season Pass’. The special pass will admit one lucky winner and their guest to every show at Buxton Opera House & Pavilion Arts Centre from 1 January to 30 April 2016. There are around 100 events to attend including stand-up comedy, theatre, ballet, circus and music.

Jenny Mather, Buxton Opera House Press Officer said: “This is the first time we have offered such a high value theatre pass and we hope customers will agree it’s a very exciting prize. The Spring season is packed full of events for everyone and we encourage the public to get behind their theatre and take a look at all what’s on offer.”

The prize draw coincides with Buxton Christmas lights switch on, which welcomes Opera House panto star Kelsey Beth Crossley (Emmerdale, The Voice) to turn on the lights. Customers have 7 days to book their tickets from the moment the lights are switched on by Kelsey, estimated to be around 6.40pm on Friday 19 November, to be in with a chance of winning. Anyone who buys a ticket to an event, either online or at the Box Office will be automatically entered into the prize draw. There’s a long list of famous people and events to see including Gilbert O’Sullivan and Lulu in concert, the musicals Blood Brothers and Tell Me on a Sunday with Jodie Prenger; comics Ruby Wax, Ed Byrne, Julian Clary, Stewart Francis and survival expert Ray Mears.
