New defender for the Silkmen
Former York City centre-back John McCombe has joined Macclesfield Town until the end of the season.
The 30-year-old was recently released by the York City having previously featured 61 times and scored four goals since he arrived from Mansfield Town in January 2014.
He was limited to just six games and a single goal for York this season.
McCombe has also spent time with Port Vale, Hereford United, Torquay United and Huddersfield Town during his career.
