Dunham Massey, Altrincham – 10 & 17 June 2016, 5.30pm-8pm

Start your weekend under the evening sky as Dunham Massey invites you to enjoy the garden after hours this month at special summer events complete with live music, drinks and tempting treats.

Usually deserted long before the sun sets, on Friday 10 and 17 June, the garden gates will remain open until 8pm, offering visitors the chance to make the most of the summer evenings and experience the garden in a new light.

“Dunham’s garden really comes to life in the evening sun”, says Head Gardener Emily Chandler. “The start of summer is an exciting time in the garden, especially as the rose garden begins to bloom. We’re excited to give visitors the chance to explore the garden into the evening and enjoy its summer scents and colours away from the madding crowd.”

The garden is the perfect spot to celebrate the start of the weekend with live music, delicious nibbles and a drink in hand.

This unique opportunity to enjoy live music in the garden comes courtesy of the Freddie Eggleton Duo on Friday 10 June and the Easy Rollers on Friday 17 June- both are student groups from the Royal Northern College of Music whose sets include jazz, soul and R&B.

Normal admission to the garden applies for Beyond the Garden Gate. National Trust members are free. Additional cost applies to food and drink and payment is by cash only in the garden.
