Police appeal for witnesses to attempted ATM break in

Police in Macclesfield are appealing for witnesses after an attempt was made to break into a cash machine.

At around 2am on Sunday 14 August 2016 three people wearing dark clothing attempted to break into the ATM on Earlsway in Macclesfield.

DC Gary Turner said: “It is believed offenders used crow bars and some type of electric grinder in an attempt to gain access to the safe contained within.

“We think the suspects were disturbed and made off in a Black Estate type vehicle. We’re appealing for anyone who saw any activity police are appealing for witnesses.

Anyone with information should contact Cheshire police on 101 quoting incident number 113 of 14 August 2016.
