Barracks Mill
The Barracks Mill enquiry was held last week. I couldn’t get there, but I understand the arguments were pretty well balanced for and against the development. There should be a decision from the inspector within 6 weeks.

Henbury development proposals
There are two proposals at pre-planning consultation stage. Both are on land allocated for development under the local plan.

Robinsons Brewery are proposing a development of around 150 houses in the fields to the north of of Chelford Road and stretching across to Whirley Road, with the entrance opposite the Cock pub. For more information and to give feedback, see Land off Chelford Road, Henbury

Moss Lane development planning application
Ecclestone Homes have submitted an application for 32 homes off Moss Lane. Last date for comments is 2 August.  Planning ref. 17/2854M.  See details on CEC website and comment.

Senior Citizens’ Hall
Cheshire East Council are looking for a community group interested in leasing the Senior Citizens Hall. Expressions of interest are requested on or before the 1st August. There aren’t any further details on the CEC website, but they give a number to call for information – 07921 872286.

Free sports activities for children and teenagers
Macc Town Council are running free sports activities for 7 – 16 year olds as part of their Macctivity programme. See flyer
