New CEO for Kinaxia

Macclesfield-based Kinaxia Logistics has appointed Simon Hobbs to the newly-created role of group chief executive.

Simon is a leading industry figure having held senior positions with Kuehne + Nagel, CEVA Logistics and DHL.

Kinaxia is a top 15 UK logistics group in the transport and warehouse sector, comprising 13 businesses with 1,800 staff and 920 vehicles. The group, which has its headquarters in Adlington Park, has two million sq ft of warehouse facilities nationwide, offering contract packing, e-fulfilment, returns management and storage services and has annual revenues topping £200m.

Kinaxia Group founders Graham Norfolk and Peter Fields said: “In line with our recent growth and increase in scale and complexity, we have reviewed our management structure and created a new role of chief executive. Simon has a wealth of customer, operations and commercial experience gained from senior supply chain roles with DHL Supply Chain, CEVA Logistics and, more recently, Kuehne + Nagel.”

Simon said: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to join Kinaxia at such an exciting time for the group.
