Cheshire Police are appealing for witnesses and/or video footage following the robbery of a delivery van in Wilmslow.

Around lunchtime on Thursday 16 December, a delivery driver parked his white Ford transit van on Knutsford Road, near to Ashdene Road, to drop off a parcel.

Returning to his vehicle another, white van, (described as dirty), pulled up alongside and a passenger of this van threatened the delivery driver demanding he hand over his van keys.

The victim complied and both vans drove off.

The stolen van was subsequently recovered in a field on Chelford Road, Alderley Edge.

Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone with any information that may aid the investigation.

Detective Constable Jamie Roberts, who is leading the investigation, said: “Knutsford Road is a busy road and we’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and may have witnessed anything suspicious.

“The same goes for anyone with any CCTV or dashcam footage which may aid our investigation.

“I’d urge anyone with any information, no matter how small, to contact the team here at Macclesfield.”

Anyone with information or video footage that may help the ongoing investigation should contact Cheshire Police on 101, or at https://www.cheshire.police.uk/tua, quoting IML 1157217.
