Dear all local Macclesfield & Cheshire East Businesses and Facebook contacts.

Macclesfield FC Community Sports Trust is the charity arm of Macclesfield FC.

We are a separately run business to the football club and link in our community engagement and various support activities with the power of the club name on a daily basis across our area.

We are registered with both companies house and the charities commission and are overseen by 7 volunteers trustees.

During my 7 months as Head of the trust, we have extended our provision by 70% across Macclesfield and Cheshire East to a range of participants and also created new links with local organisations, all this with a very small but extremely talented team of staff and volunteers.

The next steps for us is to become even more sustainable for the future, as we are currently in the process of putting together our Business Delivery Plan for our future projects over the next 3 to 5 years. Something we have never done before.

External funding over the last 18 months from the 3 main football league(s) community charity trusts are currently unavailable to us until the Club achieve National League (north) status at least – so a huge chunk of our continual backing has gone for the time being.

We have been successful with a range of funding bids over the last 7 months to keep our programmes up and running and have recently been shortlisted for an award for the work we are doing.

We are now looking to engage with local organisations to support our future and current delivery by becoming partners, sponsors and/or stakeholders of our current and future projects across our great community.
