Cultural heritage officer Dr Catherine Parker Heath will be the tour guide.

Hobcroft Barn is a beautifully restored 19th century field barn. The barn has original internal features and provides magnificent views across the Manifold Valley to Ecton Hill and Dale Mine. Historically, it belonged to the Harpur Crewe family, who owned Calke Abbey. It was restored through the Barns and Buildings Project.

Dale Mine was the focus of the Understanding Dale Mine Project in 2018 and 2019.

Please wear sturdy footwear and appropriate clothing for the weather. Limited parking is available at the village hall where donations for parking can be made.

To book your place, please email catherine.parkerheath@peakdistrict.gov.uk

This event is part of National Lottery Open Week and is a thank you to National Lottery players and the National Lottery Heritage Fund, which made possible the South West Peak Landscape Partnership projects.
