Traffic stop proves unlucky for van passenger
A traffic stop in Gawsworth proved unlucky for the passenger of this van.
The van came to the attention of the local Rural Crime Team who were patrolling the village this morning.
On speaking to the driver, officers recognised the front seat passenger as being featured in a wanted poster.
The traffic stop led to the man being arrested for a serious domestic assault and other offences.
On being searched, the man was also found to be in possession of a handcuff key.
Officers from Macclesfield Police attended to support the Rural Crime Team.
