Detectives have released CCTV images of two men they are looking to speak to in relation to an assault in Congleton.
At around 12.30am on Monday 8 May, at around 1am, a 60-year-old man was walking on Bridge Street, near Wetherspoons, when he was assaulted by two unknown men.
The victim sustained a serious laceration and bruising to his head as a result of the incident.
As part of their investigation, officers have released CCTV images of two men they are looking to speak to.
Detective Constable Chloe Taylor from Eastern CID, said:
“This investigation has been ongoing and we are currently following a number of lines of enquiry.
“As part of our investigation, we are keen to speak to the men in the CCTV images as we believe he may be able to help with our enquiries.
“If you think you recognise the men or have information regarding their identity please come forward.
“I would also like to appeal directly to the two men in the CCTV images to get in touch.
”Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to call Cheshire police on 101, or visit www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us, quoting 23000387455.”
