TV Licensing scam

Keep your eyes peeled for yet another TV Licensing scam.

The email won’t fool most of us, but if you have any vulnerable family members or friends set them right.

The message states: “There was an issue with your most recent direct debit payment, and we were unable to renew your TV license automatically.”

The email continues requesting you set up another direct debit – which of course will give the scammers direct access to your bank account.

If you’ve never paid a TV licence by direct debit, you will know there is an issue.

The sender’s address comes up as: Please-do-Not-reply-TVSubscription-ID93237@app.gescof.com – evidently not an email to be expected from TV Licensing.

Please let any vulnerable friends and relatives that this email is doing the rounds and should be ignored.
