Cheshire Police release statements from families of missing Bosley tragedy

Cheshire Police have released the following statements about their loved ones – from the families of the four people, missing in the Bosley Wood Treatment tragedy.

Derek Moore, 62, is from Stoke-on-Trent and is husband to Lynne, stepfather to Mark and brother to Linda, Ann and Darren.

 Dorothy Bailey

Dorothy Bailey

Dorothy Bailey, 62, is one of 7 children and has 5 brothers and 1 sister.

Her family says she is a loving mother to her sons Christopher, Matthew and Edward and a doting grandmother to her grandchildren.

She has lived in Bosley most of her life, and only began working at the factory a short time ago.

 Jason Shingler

Jason Shingler

Jason Shingler, 38, was brought up in North Rode and has a large extended family.  He has one sister and is a loving son to John and Angela.  He lives with his girlfriend Nicky.

His family describes him as kind hearted and someone who would do anything for anyone.

 William Barks

William Barks

William Barks, 51, was born and bred in Leek.  He has been married for 31 happy years to Debbie.  He has a brother and sister and is a loving father to Liam.

William enjoys building and restoring motorbikes and is a loving family man who lives a simple and happy life.

Mr Barks brother Kelvin said: “Waiting this long as a family has left us in turmoil as I’m sure all the families are in.

“Our thoughts go out to all the families going through this.

” To go through it and still not know where my brother is, whether he’s alive, is absolutely tearing us apart.

“There’s been tears of frustration and tears of much sadness.”

Prayers for those missing were said at St Mary’s Parish Church in Bosley on Sunday.

Reverend Pam Butler added: “The church is open for people for quiet reflection, to pray, to light candles, or to talk to us.”
