Buxton Opera House Russian State Ballet cancelled

Later this month, Buxton Opera House was due to welcome the Russian State Opera for a performance of ‘Aida’.

Whilst the Russian State Opera is a UK based organisation, Buxton Opera House has taken the decision to cancel the performance.

Buxton Opera House said “the decision has not been taken lightly, but, given the ever escalating situation in Ukraine, out of solidarity with the people of Ukraine, and in line with other cultural institutions, we believe that this is the right decision.

“We apologise to people who have booked tickets to the show for the inconvenience that this will cause, and assure them that they will be entitled to a refund. We will be sending emails to ticket holders, but we would also encourage ticket holders to contact our Box Office to arrange said refunds.”
