Just So Festival returns to the Rode Hall Estate, in Scholar Green, on August 16th to 18th, 2024 and the UK’s premier family arts festival, has announced its programme.
This year’s festival features performances from an eclectic mix of artists.
Headlining this year’s festival – Ríoghnach Connolly & Honeyfeet will set the Footlights stage alight, alongside the captivating rhythms of Kasai Masai, the dynamic sounds of Bonfire Radicals, the enchanting melodies of Dana Gavanski, the unique musical journey of ICHI, and the energetic whirling tunes from Cut a Shine!
‘The Mind Palace’ is a new feature area, where families will find giant puzzles and confounding performances, mind-bending workshops and engineering challenges – a place of facts and logic, of quizzes and collaboration!
And the excitement won’t end there!
On Saturday night, festival-goers will be treated to a breathtaking High Wire spectacular featuring the incomparable talents of Chris Bullzini and throughout the weekend, families will be immersed in ’Ancient Giants’ – a show where giant puppets bring to life the gods and demons from south asian tales.
For anyone looking for a moment of mischief – Just So Festival will deliver its usual dose of mayhem – with a family blancmange fight! Families are invited to step outside of the humdrum of everyday life and enjoy some anarchic play!
New for this year – parents can indulge in some well-deserved relaxation at the festival’s woodland spa, where they can unwind with a sauna session – followed by an invigorating ice-plunge.
When it comes to food and drink, Just So has something for everyone – from award-winning food vendors, serving up delicious treats, to a wide range of gin options to keep those thirsty mums happy! There’ll be no shortage of culinary delights to enjoy throughout the weekend to satisfy the whole family.
With families facing the challenges of cost-of-living crisis, festival organisers are keeping ticket prices the same as 2023 – ‘Just So’ as many people as possible can provide their family with a weekend adventure beyond their wildest dreams!
Festival Director, Rowan Cannon, told ilovemacc: “We are thrilled to unveil our incredible lineup for Just So Festival 2024, from world-class music to immersive woodland adventures, we offer families a chance to step out of their everyday routines, and enjoy an unforgettable weekend of mischief, mayhem, and anarchic play!”
